The Future Of Languages

Mar 14, 2007 @ 01:12 am by Fabian Tan

There are three main languages in the world today, and they are English, Chinese and Spanish.

English is of course the dominant language. Chinese is second of the large population of China while Spanish the third most common language because of it’s widespread use around the world.

Today we are seeing the start of the mixture of English and Spanish in the US, it is likely that this trend will continue to rise and English in the US will use many Spanish words.

‘Spanglish’, as is the term for this mixing of languages, will certainly become more and more popular in the future. In time to come, as many as 30% of words used in the United States may be Spanish.
